I have to say that after using several CMS systems, my favorite by far, and the easiest to work with, is the CMS from Savvy Software called Savvy Content Manager. It's the easiest to work with and the fastest to deploy. It's simple, yet effective.

Savvy is one of our sponsors this year and donated a 5-user license to us... we have various committee members set up with CMS logins so that we can get content online fast and easy, and so far the interface is so intuitive that I haven't needed to train anyone! I can't say enough good things about it.

Well, I can say one other thing: It took 3 hours to go from our previous static site to a running site using the CMS one morning in September. From 0 to 60 in 3 hours... and I'm talking starting from scratch.

In any case, I wanted to lay out this endorsement quick while I was thinking about it.

Laterz!

@Jared

are you in a position to comment on it's extensability? Custom authentication, viewing rules, etc?

it's not so much publishing control and management but having fine-grained control over which authenticated users are able to see what sections (or sub-sections) of the site. additionally, having enough hooks to pull out enough user information from other systems to do this...

... obviously I'm dealing with a specific use for this CMS - it's not for public/general use.

Hi Barry,

I am happy to answer your questions and review all of that with you if you're interested. Just drop me an email or call and I can show you the system, how custom code is done, etc. Savvy may not be perfect for every need but for the price I think it serves as a great option for people.
